Caliber of our Training

The caliber of training of our drug dogs is a major part of what sets us apart as your best option for drug searches.

Dogs are first selected for temperament to ensure that they are friendly with adults and children alike. While we never physically search a person it is imperative that our dogs can do searches in public areas and be friendly with everyone there.

Every Utah Drug Dog is then selected for the proper drives in order to be able to work for long periods of time. Most dogs don't make the cut, it is only the dogs with extreme drive that are capable of going into the detection program.

Once evaluated capable of the work every Utah Drug Dog goes through months of intense training to teach them the skills for odor detection, scent discrimination, search patterns, and scenario work to make sure that they are ready for the real world.

Once on the job every Utah Drug Dog continues training to maintain the highest level of drug and narcotics detection ability.
